Composition per liter:

Sodium lactate (60% solution)...................................................... 7.5g

Pancreatic digest of casein............................................................ 5.0g

Yeast extract.................................................................................. 3.0g

Tween™ 80................................................................................... 1.0g

Glucose ......................................................................................... 1.0g

Sodium thioglycolate.................................................................. 0.75g

Putrescine................................................................................... 3.0mg

Resazurin ................................................................................... 1.0mg

pH 7.5 ± 0.2 at 25°C

Preparation of Medium: Prepare and dispense medium anaerobi

cally under 100% N2. Add components to distilled/deionized water and

bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Adjust pH to 7.5 with K2CO3.

Anaerobically distribute into tubes or flasks. Autoclave for 15 min at

15 psi pressure–121°C.

Use: For the cultivation and maintenance of Veillonella parvula and

other Veillonella species.
