Composition per liter:

Pancreatic digest of casein............................................................ 5.0g

Yeast extract.................................................................................. 3.0g

Tween™ 80................................................................................... 1.0g

Glucose ......................................................................................... 1.0g

Sodium thioglycolate.................................................................. 0.75g

Sodium lactate (60% solution).................................................21.0mL

pH 7.5 ± 0.2 at 25°C

Preparation of Medium: Add components to distilled/deionized

water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Adjust pH to 7.5 with

K2CO3. Distribute into tubes or flasks. Autoclave for 15 min at 15 psi

pressure–121°C.

Use: For the cultivation and maintenance of Veillonella species.
