Composition per liter:

K 2 HPO 4 .......................................................................................6.95g
Tryptone........................................................................................5.0g
Sodium orotate..............................................................................2.5g
KH 2 PO 4 .......................................................................................1.36g
Sodium thioglycolate....................................................................0.5g
Yeast extract..................................................................................0.5g
Riboflavin ................................................................................15.0mg
Resazurin ...................................................................................1.0mg
pH 7.5 ± 0.2 at 25°C
Preparation of Medium: Add components to distilled/deionized
water and bring volume to 1.0L. Mix thoroughly. Sparge with 100%
N 2 . Anaerobically distribute into tubes or flasks. Autoclave for 15 min
at 15 psi pressure–121°C.
Use: For the cultivation and maintenance of Clostridium oroticum.
